The Renton LGBTQIA+ Community is putting together an event this year for Pride month (June) called the Renton Pride Passport. With the COVID-19 crisis ongoing, this year’s event will support local businesses while providing a way to continue abiding by health guidelines. The event will last the entire month from June 1st to June 30th.
Businesses that participate will be featured in a printable pamphlet along with a local map (or maps) that families can use to navigate and collect stamps/stickers from Renton businesses. A kick-off event on Saturday, June 5th will begin as a major weekend activity for the event. Participating businesses and public services might utilize tables or booths outside to promote the Renton Pride Passport along with any promotions/discounts they may give to passport holders.
By joining the Pride Passport activity, we are asking that organizations promote their allyship with the LGBTQ community by displaying a LGTBQIA pride flag of their choice (we can help!) for the month June and consider joining the Safe Place program with the Renton Police Department.
